You know that feeling, when you're so dedicated to something that it's all you've been thinking about for days? Weeks? That's been me with my Etsy shop lately. I've been making products, photographing them over and over again, writing about my shop, reading about being a shop owner, listening to the Etsy Success podcast. I could feel the tension starting to weigh me down. Not because I hate it or anything (because I am enjoying myself through it all) but I think to stay creative I just needed one day... to clear my mind. As we ate breakfast yesterday morning, I realized what a nice day it was. The sky was bright blue with those puffed-up, marshmallow fluff-style clouds scattered throughout. Fabian and I decided to make our way downtown to have a walk around Lake Eola. I took my camera to practice with some new settings I realized it had and I'm fairly happy with the results.

So, you may or may not know this but I have an Etsy shop, where I sell cute little clay things & just a bit of magic. After college my workspace got a lot smaller, so my work had to shrink down as well. I no longer had the sculpture studios to be all experimental in, but I knew I still wanted to work with my hands and in three dimensions - enter my newfound love of polymer clay. I started by making realistic food charms which I would turn into jewelry and wear myself. I would get so many compliments & people asking where my jewelry was from that I decided to open my shop and direct them there.
